An mp with conviction
We need more politicians like Richard Foord!
Some MPs protest loudly about water companies while in office, only to later accept roles within the industry they once condemned.
One former parliamentarian even criticised South West Water publicly — then joined them after leaving Parliament (see previous posts).
That isn’t accountability. It’s self-preservation.
Richard Foord has chosen a different path.
We met him at the River Otter in East Devon. He didn’t send a statement — he showed up.
Now, he has launched a petition calling for South West Water to lose its licence if it continues dumping sewage into rivers and seas.
That isn’t posturing. It is pressure with purpose.
Ocean Activist is backing this petition because our coastlines, rivers, wildlife and communities deserve more than recycled outrage and carefully timed PR campaigns.
If a company keeps polluting, it should not retain the right to operate.
It really is that simple.
Stand with Richard. Stand with us.
Sign the petition for clean water and real accountability.
