Hats off to helena

A huge well done to MP Helena Dollimore for standing up to Southern Water Company Limited after the devastating plastic beads spill at Camber Sands this weekend — an environmental disaster that left the beach covered in millions of bio-beads from wastewater treatment.

Helena has written directly to the company, demanding answers, accountability, and urgent action to clean up the mess and prevent it happening again.

Her action follows her earlier questioning of South West Water CEO Susan Davy during the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee session on 25 February 2025, where she challenged the company’s poor environmental record.
