let’s turn the tide together
beach wear that shows you care
Born out of sister company SeaSurf, this is a collection for those who refuse to turn a blind eye while the ocean is neglected, degraded, or taken for granted.
We believe in holding to account anyone whose actions harm the marine environment — from companies and policymakers to outdated practices.
But just as importantly, we believe in recognising and celebrating those working to protect and restore our oceans — the community groups, campaigners, and everyday individuals who are making a real difference.
Our clothing is made from a 50/50 blend of organic and reclaimed materials — responsibly sourced and built to last.
No gimmicks. No greenwashing. Just well-made, considered pieces that reflect what you value.
No, buying a hoodie won’t fix the climate crisis. But it does send a message. It says “I care and I’m part of something bigger.”
And when more people stand together, that message becomes hard to ignore.
We’re here to connect, to take action, and to encourage others to do the same.
This is quiet strength. Purposeful progress. And a community that stands with the sea.
If you’ve ever picked up plastic from the beach, spoken up about pollution, or simply felt that more needs to be done — you’re already part of this movement.
Devon roots global reach
We may be based in Devon — shaped by its coastlines, communities, and connection to the sea — but the challenges we face here are echoed across the globe.
From sewage spills in local coves to plastic washed up on remote beaches, the health of our oceans is a shared concern, crossing borders and touching every community.
What happens in Devon matters. When a community here takes a stand, it sets an example. When local voices speak up, they join a growing global call for action.
The tide of change often begins in small places — by people who care deeply, act locally, and inspire others to do the same.
Our roots keep us grounded. But our reach, our vision, and our mission go far beyond the shoreline. We represent anyone, anywhere, who believes the ocean deserves better — and who’s ready to be part of the solution.
our ocean champion
World record-holding paddleboarder David Haze, also known as The Nomadic Paddler, has joined Ocean Activist as the brand’s Ambassador.
David holds eight world records, including solo SUP crossings of lakes in every UK national park. His expeditions double as environmental campaigns — raising awareness of pollution and collecting litter as he paddles.
A committed eco-advocate, David has been honoured with a Points of Light Award and a Pride of Britain nominationfor his environmental and social impact work.
Now representing Ocean Activist — SeaSurf’s purpose-driven sister -brand — David will help promote the movement’s mission: uniting people who care about protecting coastlines and oceans through action and ethically made clothing.
“Ocean Activist isn’t just about what you wear — it’s about what you stand for,” David said.
He’ll next be flying the flag on his forthcoming Mediterranean Paddle Expedition, where Ocean Activist will feature prominently throughout his journey.
The kelp crusaders
The sea doesn’t need saving by superheroes — it needs real people
We call them Kelp Crusaders.
Because change rarely starts with a headline. It starts with a paddleboard, a reusable bag, a soggy wetsuit, or a quiet email that lands in the right inbox.

A nice little earner
In what some might call an 'understated' press release (notably absent from South West Water’s website) Pennon Group Plc reported a £72.7 million pre-tax loss for 2024/25, up sharply from £9.1 million the previous year.
Yet, perhaps more controversially, the company has opted to maintain dividend payments of around £129 million (31.57p per share) — a disbursement greater than the reported loss.
This comes at a time of intense scrutiny over pollution, storm overflows, executive pay and trust in the water sector.
So how can a loss-making company afford such dividends? In large part because Pennon raised £1.3 billion through a rights issue — generating fresh capital from existing shareholders, some of which is now flowing back to them as dividends.
So shareholders have yet again been rewarded in a year when customers are footing the bill for failures.

brand values
Sustainability
We don’t just make clothes — we make them responsibly. Every Ocean Activist product is crafted using a 50/50 blend of organic and reclaimed cotton, powered by renewable energy, and delivered plastic-free.
We design for circularity and reject the waste of fast fashion — because nothing we create should end up where it doesn’t belong. Especially not in the sea.
But sustainability isn’t just about reducing harm — it’s about doing good. We celebrate progress, champion better choices, and support those who are finding smarter, cleaner ways to protect our planet.
Activism
We believe clothing can carry a message. Ocean Activist stands up to greenwashing, corporate silence, and the systems harming our oceans. But we’re also here to lift up those making waves for good.
From calling out polluters to celebrating grassroots action, this is a brand that acts — not just advertises. We create tools for change and invite people to wear their values with pride.
Community
At the heart of Ocean Activist is a growing tribe — surfers, swimmers, beach cleaners, artists, educators, and environmental voices united by one goal: to protect the ocean we love.
We don’t just sell to our community — we build with it, celebrate it, and campaign alongside it. Together, we’re louder, braver, and far more powerful than we are alone.
Celebration
Amid the urgency, we make space for joy. Ocean Activist is about more than protest — it’s about positivity, too.
We shine a light on the good: the individuals, groups, and small wins that deserve recognition. From beach clean organisers to eco-innovators, we celebrate the changemakers turning frustration into action.
This is a movement fuelled by hope, not just outrage. Because celebrating progress keeps us going — and reminds us that change is not only possible, it’s already happening.
