MEET OUR AMBASSADOR
David Haze is a nine-time world record paddleboarder — having crossed four of the UK’s largest lakes, paddled 129 miles of the Thames in just over two days, and become the fastest person ever to cross Loch Ness on an SUP.
But his story began in crisis, not success. After a high-earning City finance career collapsed, David spiralled into addiction, crime and two prison sentences. In an 8x4 prison cell, he chose to rebuild. Through rehabilitation, he rediscovered his connection to the water and vowed to prove his past would not define his future.
Today, David is not only a world record athlete — he is an advocate for second chances, a consultant in the criminal justice system, and the official brand ambassador for SeaSurf’s Ocean Activist movement, using his platform to inspire change and defend our waterways.
As he says:
“Two years before this record, I was in a prison cell dreaming of paddling the world. Keep going. Keep dreaming. Keep paddling.”
